Steps to healthy legs

Eat Better

A poor diet is bad for your overall health.

The keys to a healthy diet are:

  • Reduce the amount of fatty foods you eat

  • Try not to add too much salt to food as this can raise your blood pressure

  • Eat plenty of fibre

  • Eat a wide range of foods to make sure you're getting a balanced diet

  • Drink enough water - between 6 to 8 glasses a day - and increase the quantity when temperatures rise or in warmer climates.

  • Aim for regular meals - smaller and more frequent meals are often best for keeping blood sugar levels steady and avoiding energy dips.

  • Foods rich in vitamin C may help to make vein walls strong and supplements containing bio-active Flaven™ are available.

  • For more advice on a healthy diet, speak to your physician, nurse or pharmacist, consult a nutritionist, or click here to ask the Antistax® Leg Health Centre team a question.
