If your doctor diagnoses a leg vein disorder, there are many treatment options currently available. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about which option is right for you. Below you will find an overview on the most common treatments such as compression therapy, medications or surgical and nun-surgical therapy.
Compression Stockings or Socks
Wearing these may help relieve some of the symptoms of leg vein health problems and move blood more efficiently through your legs. Although wearing hosiery won’t eliminate leg health issues such as chronic vein insufficiency (CVI), spider veins or varicose veins, they can help alleviate symptoms such as tired, achy, heavy and/or swollen legs. Wearing compression stockings can also reduce the risk of developing blood clots from long plane or car rides.

These products can be either based on natural ingredients such as flavonoids (flaven) derived from the extract of red vine leaves, saponins (aescin) extracted from seeds of horse chestnut, the extract from Butcher's broom rootstock (ruscogenines) or the extract from the maritime pine bark (pycnogenol). On the other hand there are chemically modified substances such as diosmin or hydroxyethyl rutosides.
Proven to help relieving leg complaints
These products are proven to help alleviate swelling and relieving leg pain while improving the blood flow in the legs. Most products work by increasing the elasticity of the walls of the veins and increase their tonicity, thereby reducing the swelling and the subjective symptoms like leg pains and aches.
