FAQs for healthy legs

Your questions answererd

Leg Health

Q) What are legs made up of?

A) Legs are made up of a complex system of bones, muscles, skin, veins and arteries which work hard to support you through your busy day. While muscles and bones keep the body upright and propel it forward, it is the steady pumping of blood that helps keep legs healthy and fit.

Q) What happens when we have leg problems?

A) Minor leg problems, such as sore muscles, aches and pains commonly occur during sport, play or work activities. Common leg issues such as heavy, tired legs, achy legs, swollen legs, water retention or painful joints occur as a result of excessive pooling of the blood in the leg veins and a build up of fluid inside the tissues and can be caused by spending too much time standing or sitting, poor diet and not enough exercise.

Q) How can leg vein problems be avoided?

A) A healthy lifestyle including a diet rich in vitamins and fiber and low in saturated fat, plus plenty of exercise is helpful, but it cannot give a one hundred percent guarantee that you will not suffer from leg problems at some time. There are also a variety of products available to help prevent or treat leg issues such as leg vein products with natural ingredients as bio-active flavens derived from red vine leaf extract or aescin extracted from the seeds of horse chestnuts. Moreover compression / support stockings can help with acute leg problems.
